The EGO-X exhaust system for the Volkswagen Passat B6, Passat R36 and Passat CC 3.6 FSI 4Motion was developed to make the unique sound of the 3.6 FSI V6 engine considerably more emotional and sportier still.

Manufactured using the precise TIG welding process and equipped with hand-made absorption silencers without chambers, this system combines uncompromising sound quality, the highest build quality and a perfect fit.

With a pipe diameter of 3″ (76 mm), the system offers an optimal compromise between excellent exhaust flow, rich V6 sound and high everyday usability.

EGO-X valve technology

This EGO-X exhaust system is equipped with three electronically controlled exhaust valves.

With the valves open, the exhaust gases flow through the system straight and without additional damping. This produces a particularly direct, gutsy and emotional VR6 sound with maximum sound development.

Even with the valves closed, exhaust gas still flows through both tailpipe sides, so exhaust gases exit on both sides. This keeps the look balanced, and even in Comfort mode the system does not look “dead” on one side.

Applies when the version with the Bull-X Tronic control unit is selected.

This valved exhaust system has an ECE approval and can therefore be used legally on public roads without registration entry.

While driving, you can switch between Comfort and Sport mode. Vehicles with driving profile selection use the original vehicle control. Vehicles without driving profile selection are controlled via the supplied button.

The Bull-X Tronic control unit automatically regulates the valves in all ranges prescribed by the ECE regulation.

Control modes

Sport (Dynamic / Race)

• Automatically closed between 20 and 80 km/h

Comfort

• Valves are closed as a rule

• Opening in the approved range from approx. 75 % throttle position
